Free calls (including India) with Voixio

Voixio is a flash based VOIP calling service. Voixio offers free international calls anywhere in the world with a special advertisements policy. When you hit the call button, the advertisement starts running in the Advertisement panel. Once the ad is over, the call is placed to the other party. When you go to Voixio, a screen will pop-up to enter your username/password, is where you log in by inputting your email address and password and clicking the login button and also given an option to register. Voixio will detect the webcams and microphones that are available on your computer and these will be displayed when you click the “Camera & Mic” button located under the main video window and to the right of the volume slider bar. You can make calls to Standard domestic and international, landline and mobile telephone numbers or other Voixio users or any SIP address. You can also make free conference calls between Voixio users. You can add callers to an existing conversation (or conference) by making a call to an additional user, thus inviting him/her to the conference. Calls duration is maximum 2 minutes. Jajah to Bring VoIP to Yahoo Messenger

Jajah have announced today that they have been selected to provide the VoIP engine that will be used by Yahoo to provide VoIP services through the Yahoo! Messenger client. This is the first major customer to close with Jajah, using their Jajah Managed Services, targetted at business customers. Jajah already touch 10 million customers of their own via a portfolio of web-based and mobile products, based on callback/callout technology and Jajah's own international VoIP backbone. With the Yahoo deal, Messenger clients will have access to call-in and call-out technology for PC-to-PSTN and PSTN-to-PC, bringing a further 97 million customers to Jajah.

Trevor Healy, Jajah CEO said that the seamless integration of web and voice interaction is clearly important to strategic partner, Yahoo!. Through this relationship, Jajah have the opportunity to extend their innovative global calling services with an industry leader that can leverage the power of their platform and network.

With its managed services business, Jajah aims to acquire more telco and cable company customers over coming months, and this marks a strategy change for the company.
